By Popular Demand…Begrudgingly

Xerxes and many of my readers have asked me to post a comprehensive list of software that is used for GTD.  I told Xerxes that I'd have no problem posting said list if it was EffTD software, and asked him to do some research on that.  Seconds later, he informed there are no such applications for any computer out there.  Sigh.

Here is a list of what Xerxes has used in his day-to-day "work." These descriptions are paraphrased by yours truly from Xerxes' own words.  I've added my own thoughts in there as well.

1.  OmniFocus – A great application that was developed by The Omni Group.  Merlin Mann (shudder) had something to do with this.  No wonder.

2.  iGTD – It's free and European.

3.  Things – The interface is tremendous and I'm following them on Twitter.  Keeping my eye on them, really.

4.  Organized (Widget) – Everything in one place.  Made by a company that has the name of a popular heavy metal band within it.

5.  iCal – Tweaked with Mail makes it work fine for those who need little high-end organization.  Still too much for EffTDers.

The above are all Mac applications.  Follow this link for a larger list of these "useful" applications that members on the other team use.

I'm going to go throw up now.
