New Segment: EffTD PrEFFessions

Today I’m announcing a new segment here at Effing The Dog…EffTD PrEFFessions. It is aimed at providing you with the ideal professions for those who are Effing The Dog. So, if you’re looking for the career that will not only allow – but encourage – you to pursue your goal of pure Eventualism, this is the series to follow regularly. As well as the rest of the site. Here’s how it works…

Each entry in the series will focus on a particular prEFFession, taking both the literal translation from the highly-acclaimed source of research Wikipedia and the translation as it applies to EffTD. By providing both sides of the equation, you’ll be prepared to both, er, prepare your CV (always use a CV because they are more extravagant and clouds your actual accomplishments with what you wish to accomplish eventually) and ace that ever important interview process.

This segment will appear regularly here on the site, and make occasional appearances on the podcast and video appearances of EffTD as well.

On another completely related topic, I’ve been given some invites to an interesting site known as Mecanbe (UPDATE: It looks as if Mecanbe eventually CouldNotBe). This site lets you set your goals, figure out what you need to do to achieve them and then go do it. It lets you track your progress (or lack thereof) and measure it accordingly (I prefer to use The Bell Curve ), helping you get to where you want to be. Xerxes is giving it a go right now, and both of us will give our thoughts on it in the eventual future.
