Join EffTD For Blog Action Day

I recently took it upon Xerxes' self to investigate how Eventualism and EffTD can work its way throughout a particular topic of interest. After much deliberation, Xerxes and I discovered that Effing The Dog covers a broad spectrum of topics – a rainbow of them, if you will – and we then began to search for other ways we can gradually give back to the beloved Internets. And by we, I mean Xerxes.

The result of our search is both surprising, bewildering and shocking. Apparently, there is something called Blog Action Day on October 15th. This is a day where bloggers unite to obliterate a chosen cause; in 2008 it's poverty. This has been going for some time – not poverty, but this event. Last year, for example, the focus was The Environment. Since the environment seems to be okay now (Al Gore has fixed it), the focus has shifted to combat poverty.

The idea behind Blog Action Day is that members of the blogging community tackles the area of focus and blogs about it…as it relates to their own blog. I will be doing this, and since they gave me plenty of notice – I can start the eventual process today. So for me, I guess it's more like Blog Action Forever-And-A-Day.

Oh, and don't forget to donate on that day as well. It's kind of a big deal.
