Today is, as everyone knows, Talk Like A Pirate Day. As you surf the Internets today you’ll likely see posts that play on this phenomena, with the cadence and mannerisms only found in Pirate-speak permeating them. Here at Effing The Dog, I thought I’d do something different, and yet also not different. But not the same. I will replace every “you” with “ye.” That’s my little contribution to this hallowed day.
Well, that – and the following EffTD Challenge…
Ye have probably read my post on being an Email Pirate rather than an Email Ninja. If not, ye will have to go over it to fully understand the nature of this challenge I bring before ye. Go ahead and read it, I’ll wait right here.
Now that ye are done, we’ll proceed. In honor of this great day, the challenge is that ye let emails pile up in the inbox today. Ye should also follow through on the other aspects of acting like an Email Pirate, but the first step is going to be hard enough for ye to swallow due to the newness of this task to ye. Tomorrow ye can go back to whatever else ye have been using as an email strategy, but today follow through on this.
Any comments on how ye fared on this challenge are welcome and appreciated – oh, and since it is Talk Like A Pirate Day, ye should expect treasure for the efforts ye will have made. Rightfully so.
