Okay, so I don't journal. You all know that.
But I have the sense to know that some of you do. Especially in these neat little notebooks known as Moleskines.
Moleskines originated back in the late 13th century, during the Parchment Famine of 1286. In order to keep accurate historical records, historians were forced to scavenge for moles throughout the land in order to document things on the creatures due to their skins being particularly easy to write on. This practice, while seemingly flawless, turned out to be problematic when it was found virtually impossible to round up these moles once they were released to the wild. History was cobbled together from those that could be found, so records seemed more like intoxicated ramblings than accurate historical fact.
Contrary to popular belief, the pages of the modern-day Moleskine are not derived from the skin of moles, no matter what PETA says.
