Those who you’ve been following EffTD and Eventualism for some time (and, eventually, you all do), you know my stance on what makes up an ideal inbox. Believe me, I know it’s a tough haul keeping that mail application brimming with electronic prose…and I’ve decided to provide you with an aid to do so.
It’s worth mentioning that formerly productive “Mann about the web” Merlin Mann has maintained his steadfast re-branding of his popular 43Folders website. It’s no longer about productivity, so as a result I no longer know what it is about. But what I do know is that the predecessor to the new site spawned a means of controlling so-called spam. This service was – and is still – known as ThanksNo.
This service was used – and still is being used – to inform those who send emails that some may find “less than desirable” and in a “what I just put in quotes before this” manner. I could go on and on about it, but that’s Xerxes’ department. I just suggest you visit the site and then shake your head in a repetitive motion.
After that, you’ll be primed to visit a site that I’ve launched today (with, I’ll begrudgingly admit, Xerxes had a hand in FTPing…whatever that is) that will allow you to counterattack Inbox Zero and become an Inbox Hero. You’ll go from Email Ninja to Email Pirate. No more Sheriff of Notting-Spam. Hail to Robin Hood, Prince of Nigeria. (You’ll be that guy.)
I give you…EffYes.
EffYes is my way of providing you yet another EffTD tool that will help you spread Eventualism (and invaluable Bacn) in an incredibly eventual manner. I could go on and on about it, so here goes…
This new service that I created, provided and invented will allow those whom you’ve sent unsolicited emails to the ability to thank you both personally and widespread. Widespread in that they will then spread it to their friends, colleagues and family as well. The cycle continues in eventual perpetuity, or until I decide to longer pay for hosting fees.
(However, if you want to advertise here, that may allow me to host it for that much longer. I’m just saying.)
So, there you have it. Is this perhaps the most useful tool to allow Eventualists and EffTDers across the Internets in the quest to create ideal inboxes everywhere?
