Everybody Plays The Fool, Eventually

by Mike Vardy on April 1, 2010

I had an absolutely fantastic start to my morning today when I awoke at 1 pm.  I think it’s only fair to me to share it with you…

First off, I checked the Internet.  To my surprise, I learned that ThinkGeek is merging today’s iPad technology with that of popular 1980′s arcade technology.  That was both radical (idea-wise) and radical (awesome-wise)!

However, when I tried to Google more about this invention I found that they had changed their name to Topeka, likely to avenge Topeka changing their name to Google not too long ago.  Had to happen eventually, I suppose.  Can’t wait to see what “Tmail” looks like.  Needless to say, Topeka is now my No Place Like Home Page.

Next up, while researching a piece for an upcoming article, I learned that April Fool’s Day was outlawed in my part of the world.  I was still suspicious, so I went to find the official word on the matter.  After going over that and “seeing between the lines,” I’m convinced that is the case.  To think, I was so close to falling for some well-placed pranks today.  Whew.

Now I can go on and enjoy my day with eventual bliss!
