How My IdeaWave Talk Happened

ideawavelogo How My IdeaWave Talk Happened

Many people are bound to ask me how I put together such a talk  - dubbed The Suck That is Productivity – that I will be doing at Victoria’s IdeaWave later today. Normally I’d have kept this close to my well-hidden chest, but after reading ReWork by the team responsible for 37Signals, I decided to take their advice and share away.  Here goes everything:

  • April 19, 2010: Submit talk idea.
  • July 9, 2010: Begin working on talk.
  • July 10, 2010: Do talk.

As you can see, it was really that simple.

IdeaWave promises to be a great time – and eventual in nature to boot. I mean, going through 50 talks over 2 days screams Eventualism.  A list of those who will be “idea waving” is listed here.  While it’s possible to still be part of this event, it’s also entirely possible that those already signed up to attend will leave both informed, inspired and “intertained”.

I plan to do the latter three.
