The Eventualists’ Mantra

by Mike Vardy on June 21, 2010

This is a mantra you can say any day of the week to keep you on eventual track. While some may try to read between the lines they’d be doing so in vain. There are no words between lines of other words. Silly people. These type of people are also the type to make a sentence out of the first letters of each line. That’s just super-silly.

On this week, I pledge to
Be the best Eventualist I can be.
Vastly superior to previous weeks,
In fact.
Over and over again I will eventualize,
Undeniably and unforgivably.
Should I think about taking it up a notch in doing stuff,
Let me have the eventual wherewithal to stop.
Yea, so sayeth myself.

Don’t make me do something
On the spot.

No way is that going to work.
Oppression through motivation isn’t welcome,
Try as you might.

Don’t give me something and expect
Overly fast results.

Actually…
Stifle your requests altogether in that regard.

I just won’t do it as quickly as you’d like.

Sorry.
After all, I am an Eventualist.
Yep, it’s just how I roll.

Now go forth and be eventual. (So leave in your time, I suppose.)
