The First Bi-Weekly Eventual Success Story

I’m going to start a tradition here at Eventualism called The Bi-Weekly Eventual Success Story series.  It will be bi-weekly and consist of an eventual success story.

This week’s Eventual Success Story subject is Lindsay Lohan. [Read more...]

Forgetting Follow Friday

Follow Friday is a dinosaur, in my estimation.  And I’m a pretty good estimationist.

I’m not going to be doing these antiquated forms of tweets any longer…at least not on Fridays.  It just doesn’t make any sense to me as a person, based on my D Value System (more on what that is next week).  I’ve decided that going forward you’re going to get Stalker Sunday – or if you’re “not comfortable” with that first word you could go with Shadow Sunday, I suppose…but I know what you really mean.

Why the shift from Fridays to Sundays?  Well, it’s simple if you try not to think about it:

  • As an avid eventualizer, you would never do a #followfriday on a Friday.  You’d have to be doing at the earliest really late at night (somewhat useless) or later than that (even more somewhat useless).  Quit while you’re behind, I say.
  • Sunday is a day where a lot of people traditionally follow someone or something.  Like the NFL – or perhaps a deity.
  • Following someone on Twitter is becoming more and more like stalking anyway.  Hey, I calls it likes I sees it.
  • Sunday is the first day of the week for some.  But for someone who is embodying Eventualism, it most certainly is the last day of the week.  Stalker Sunday allows you to leave a lasting impression on someone else – good or bad.  Since the word “last” is in the word “lasting” it only makes sense to do this on the last day of the week – Sunday.

So, you’ll see more of this (#stalkersunday); no more of this (#followfriday).  I’ll shorten it to #ss instead of #ff.  Either way, know that when I do that I’m sending all of my stalkers after you…if they eventually choose to do so.

Happy Means-Nothing-To-Me-Any-Longer -On-Twitter Day!
