Eventual Book Review: Surviving Your Serengeti

I really admire text that is “sub” in nature.

Another thing I have a great fondness for is an approach to a topic that flies against the face of what a topic conventionally calls for. Surviving Your Serengeti is a book that does just that — and does it very well.

The first book in this month of book reviews, Surviving Your Serengeti, may look like a business book on the outside but reads far differently. Stefan Swanepoel has crafted a fable instead, one that aims to teach the reader 7 skills to help them to master their business and their life.

Steventualism

Well…look who showed up at the iPad 2 announcement yesterday.

It’s apparent that the eventual chain of command over at Apple still stops at Steve. Having Jobs deliver the goods yesterday is further proof that Tim Cook could spoil the broth. Or cider, in this case.

Steve Jobs takes Eventualism to a whole other level — one known as Steventualism. This type of eventual behavior allows one to be highly productive for short bursts of time, only for them to disappear completely afterward for long periods of time. But Steventualism can only be performed in just the right atmosphere.
